Gabriel James Byrne is popular film director, producer, writer and an accomplished actor of Ireland. He was born on 12th May, 1950 in Dublin, Ireland and started his career in 1978. He is known for his roles in movies like The Usual Suspects, Stigmata, End of Days and Miller’s Crossing.

Early Career

Popular actor Gabriel Byrne started his career in 1978, appearing in the TV play titled The Riordans followed by an award winning role in another TV series titled Bracken, which bought him into the limelight and as a result he landed a role in Excalibur. In 1983 he appeared in the movie Hanna K. followed by a lead role in The Keep.

In 1985 Gabriel Byrne played the challenging role of Christopher Columbus in the movie of the same titled and received critical acclaim and earned major roles in movies like Gothic, Lionheart and Hello Again, all released in 1986. In 1990s he appeared in a number of movies like Into the West, Dead Man, The Last of the High Kings and The End of Violence. A major breakthrough in his career came in 1994 when he got a role in the successful movie The Usual Suspects.
