Kajol Mukherjee was generally known as Kajol. Her pet name is Kads. She was born in Mumbai.  Her date of birth is 5 August 1975. Her Zodiac sign is Leo. Her height is 5.5 and her hair color is black. She is a Hindi film actress. Kajol made her debut act with Bekhudi in 1992. Her second film Baazigar was an absolute hit. In this film she worked along with his co-star Shahrukh Khan.

Kajol is considered as one of the best actresses in Bollywood and she is a descent of Bengali-Marathi. Tanuja was her mother and she was a well-known actress.  Her father was Shomu Mukherjee and he was a film producer.  Her sister name is Tannisha Mukherjee has recently began her film career. A lot of her relatives are somehow connected with film industry. We can say that she comes from a filmy family, her grandmother Shobhna Samarth great grandmother Rattan Bai have been foremost figures in Bollywood. Nutan is her aunt and Rani Mukherje is her second cousin and she is a successful actress too..She married a Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan. Now she got a daughter and she named her Nysa which means Goddess of purity. Her childhood memories were laden with contentment, pleasure, joy and substantial affluence Kajol was studying in St. Joseph’s convent which was at Panchgani but she quit her school and initiated her career at the stage of seventeen. But we see that her debut film that was Bekhudi (1992) did not do a great job at the box office. But in doing so her performance was discerned and she did work with bigger production houses in India.

However her image is that of   girl which lives next door. Basically she is not trendy as we made comparison of her with others in her arena; Kajol is exceptional in her acting. The tractability of her acting can be perceived from the numerous characters done by her. She gives more consideration to her acting than the pecuniary accomplishment of a filmKajol takes acting as a serious job and gives it to respect as an artform. She worked along with Shahrukh khan; and later on she gave some of the biggest hits Like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995). She got two Filmfare Best Actress Awards because of her performance. After the success of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham which was released in 2001.  She took a time off from her acting career for five years. She made a efficacious riposte with Kunal Kohli’s film Fanaa which was released in 2006. For this film she was granted with her fourth Best Actress Filmfare Award.  Her prominent films are Kal Ho Na Ho, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, Duplicate, Dushman, Raju Cahcha, Bambai ka Babu, Taaqat, Hulchul, Dil Kya Kare’, Hote Hote Pyar Hogaya, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Yeh Dillagi, Gundaraj, Gupt and Ishq,

Charismatic Kajol, with her simplicity, girl next door brashness and extraordinary acting aptitude has gained the audience attention and has a firm fan following. Kajol’s momentous expedition from ‘Bekhudi’ to ‘Fanaa’ indicates the clout of her flexibility, utter hard work and devotion towards her roles. She does not give importance to media or superstar because she believes acting is virtuously a profession.
