Valeria Golino started her career in 1985, appearing in the movie titled Little Fires, which proved to be a phenomenal success. In 1988, she entered the world of Hollywood and appeared in the movie titled Big Top Pee-Wee. She appeared opposite Tom Cruise in Rain Man, which brought her into the limelight in Hollywood. She continued to appear in the Italian movies and achieved the status as one of the best leading ladies of the Italian Cinema.

She performed various roles with perfection and made the transition from one role to another, look easy. In 1988, she appeared in Paura e amore playing the role of Sandra Parini followed by another challenging role of Jeanne de Luynes in The King’s Whore, which helped her gain critical acclaim.
