Indian actress Bipasha Basu has worked in many Hindi, Bengali and Telugu language films. Before she started her career as a film actress she was a model. Bipasha’s debut film was Ajnaabe which was released in 2001. This film was a good start of her career and remained successful. The film did a great business and was a box office hit. This film also earned her a Filmfare award in the category of Best Female Debut. However, her first commercial success came in 2002 with the film Raaz. In 2003, Bipasha appeared in the erotic thriller film Jism. She was much acclaimed for her bold role in the film and did very well. Bipasha starred in many commercially hit films like No Entry, Phir Hera Pheri and Dhoom 2 in 2006. Dhoom 2 is considered as her biggest commercial success so far. She also starred in Race which was released in 2008.

These films also earned her many awards nominations. Bipasha is also referred in film industry as a sex symbol. She has been nominated for many Filmfare awards and is famous for her item songs like Beedi in Namak Ishq Ka and Phoonk De in No Smoking.
