Camilla Belle is a popular American actress, known for her roles in movies like The Lost World: Jurassic Park, When a Stranger Calls, The Patriot, The Quiet, Breakway and Push. She was born on 2nd October, 1986 in California, United States of America and started her career as a child star.

Early career

Camilla Belle started her movie career at an age of 5, appearing in NBC thriller movie titled Trapped Beneath the Earth. Her first movie role came in 1995, when she appeared in the Little Princess, co-starring Liesel Matthews. In 1996, she appeared in the role of Daphna Falk in Poison Ivy II, which brought her fame and recognition. She played her first leading role in Rip Girls, released in 2000, which received mixed reviews.  During 1990, she appeared in many leading roles in movies including The Patriot, Practical Magic, Walker Texas Ranger and Secret of the Andes.

The major breakthrough in her career came in 1997, when she appeared in Steven Spielberg directed science-fiction adventure movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Career Highlights

Camilla Belle received 4 Young Artist Award nominations for the TV movie Walker, Texas Ranger in 1999, for the movie Practical Magic in 1998, for Replacing Dad in 1999 and for Rip Girls in 2000, in various categories. In 2005, Camilla Belle received Gotham Award nomination in the category for Breakthrough performance for the movie titled The Ballad of Jack and Rose.
