Anna Kay Faris is a popular  American singer and an actress, known for her roles in movies like The Hot Chick, Lost in Translation, Just Friends and Take Me Home Tonight, to name a few. She was born on 29th November, 1976 in Maryland, United States of America and started her movie career in 1999.

Early career

Anna Faris appeared in her debut movie titled Lover Lane in 1999, playing the role of a cheerleader. She appeared in a leading role in a popular parody film of horror-movies titled Scary Movie, released in 2000 and rose to prominence with the success of the movie. In 2003, she appeared in another successful movie titled Lost in Transition followed by a major role in Just Friends, released in 2005. In the same year, she starred in Brokeback Mountain, which brought her more fame and recognition.

She had a breakthrough role in 2007 movie titled Smiley Face, the award-winning role earned her critical acclaim and worldwide fame. In 2008 she produced and appeared in The House Bunny, which received mixed reviews but her performance as an actress stood out to gain critical acclamation. Her recent movie appearance came in comedy movie titled The Dictator.
