Mithan proved that you don’t have to look like either Adonis or a sweet confection to hit it off in this whimsical industry. You can achieve whatever you want by talent and moving violently. He traveld a lot to get stardom from Calcutta to the Film and Television institute, and Pune to the film industry. He made his  debut film Mrigaya in 1976, and won the National best actor Award. After  the award many of his film had one  nominally. But he did not gave up and  kept moving. And in 1982 he violently hit the cinema by blockbuster disco dancer and created the image of disco dancer boy, a film followed by Dance Dance which  spread his popularity to China too. Filmmakers always offered him respectable roles but not worthy, this the sad counterpart of his career. He remained in controversies about his marriage but finally settled down with Yogeeta Bali. Although he was not a superstar but he has  a distinctive place in his fan’s heart even still known as DADA and having an honor of a supreme judge of India’s biggest dancing show “Dance India Dance”.
