Sir Patrick Stewart is a legend film, TV and stage actor of England, who has had a remarkable career as an actor. He was born on 13th July, 1940 in Yorkshire, England and started his acting career at Royal Shakespeare Company in 1966 and in no time he became one of the finest actors. He is known for his roles in some epic movies like Star Trek: The Next Generation and X-Men.
Patrick Stewart started his acting career as a stage artist, working for more than a decade with the Royal Shakespeare Company. His first appearance on TV came in Coronation Street in 1967, in which he played the part of a Fire Officer. It proved to be a successful start to his TV career as he got various roles in many TV series and movies including Civilisation, Sejanus, Fall of Eagles and many others.
The major breakthrough in the film career of Patrick Stewart came in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Patrick Stewart received Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in the category for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series in 1995. For his outstanding performance in the movie titled “The Lion in Winter” he received a Golden Globe Award nomination and earned an Emmy Award nomination in the capacity of executive producer. He has also received various stage awards including the Drama Desk Award and the Laurence Olivier Award.
