Pakistani Cinema New Male Film Actors

A number of fresh faces and talented male actors joined the Pakistani film industry in the past couple of years.  Most of them have come from our TV industry and have acted in independent films; some fresh faces to join the film industry are

Hamza Ali Abbasi

Hamza Abbasi is more in the limelight because of his political statements on the social media but this young man is actually a talented actor and director. He started his acting career from theater and has done a number of plays such as Daily in the Dark, Moulin Rouge and Phantom of the Opera. He then progressed to TV and made his mark with Pyaray Afzal. Hamaza’s film career began with Main Hoon Shahid Afridi  but he got recognition as a film actor from his role of an officer in the blockbuster Waar. Hamaza’s upcoming movies are Yeh Jawani Phir Nahin Ani, Maula Jatt 2 and Kambakht. Kambakht is also his directorial debut.

Sheraz Ghafur

Sheraz Ghafur is the son of Norway based Pakistani producer Ghafur Butt. Sheraz made his debut from the film Khamosh Raho released in 2011 as a supporting actor. The film did not do well at the box office and Sheraz was also not impressive with his acting. Sheraz’s father casted him as a hero in his film System which too flopped miserably although his acting was good.

Danish Taimoor

After establishing himself as a successful TV actor, Danish Taimoor is now acting in movies although both movies were independent. His debut film Jalebee did well at the box office but he was criticized for being a bit camera conscious. His second movie Wrong No. released in 2015 was a big hit; Taimoor played double role and was applauded for his spontaneous acting.

Fahad Mustafa

Fahad Mustafa made a name for himself in Pakistani drama industry in a relatively short time. Versatility is the middle name of this actor who instead of staying in his comfort zone loves to experiment.  He made his movie debut from the commercially successful film Namaloom Afrad  in which he played the role of a frustrated young man facing financial problems. In his second movie Mah-e-Meer which is based on the life of the legendary poet Meer Taqi Meer, he has played the role of a struggling poet.

Noman Habib

Noman Habib is another TV actor to enter the film world.  He made his debut from the movie Main Hoon Shahid Afridi in which he played the role of the young cricketer Shahid Bhatti who aspired to become Shahid Afridi.
