60th British Academy Film Awards – BAFTA Awards 2006: DiCaprio Nominated for the Second Time!
The BAFTA Awards ceremony for honoring the Best Films of 2006 was attended by the crème de la crème. Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated for the Best Actor in a Leading Role for ‘The Departed’, a Film by Martin Scorsese which was based on the Hong Kong Police Drama ‘Infernal Affairs’. This was the second time DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor Award by BAFTAs, before this, he attended BAFTAs for the first time in 2004 because he was nominated for Best Actor for ‘The Aviator’, a former direction of Martin Scorsese. The Actor-Director duo succeeded in making recognition in the British Academy Awards but unfortunately did not win in the Best Actor and Best Director categories this time.
