55th British Academy Film Awards – BAFTA Awards 2001: Jackson’s Dream Came True!

That’s right! Peter Jackson’s ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’ won the most awards at the scintillating event held at London’s Leicester Square. This Film won the awards for the Best Film, Best Makeup & Hair, Best Visual Effects and Best Direction, of course for the remarkable direction of Peter Jackson in this Film. On top of this, The Lord of the Rings also won the Audience Award, which the gratified director dedicated to everybody who worked on the film. He further told that he wanted to make films ever since he was 10 years old and used to watch BAFTAs on Television. It seems that his childhood dream of making a film and his admiration for BAFTAs finally got him to this point of great attainment.

Best Supporting Actor BAFTA Award 2001: Jim Broadbent – Moulin Rouge

Best Supporting Actress BAFTA Award 2001: Jennifer Connelly – A Beautiful Mind
