62nd Academy Awards – Daisies for Oscars!
The limelight of the 62nd Academy Awards or Oscar Awards 1990 was Billy Crystal opening the show with a song about the nominees for the Best Picture. Followed by performances from Geoffrey Holder who sang two numbers – “Kiss the girl and under the sea” – from the hit Disney movie “The Little Mermaid”. Apart from this “Driving Miss Daisy” won the Academy award for Best Picture as well as Jessica Tandy became the first ever eldest female to win the Best Actress Academy Award. All in all there were some great wins though some critics said it would be better to revote some of the wins.
