Kimila Ann Basinger, popularly known as Kim Basinger, is and American actress, singer as well as a former fashion model. She was born on 8th December, 1953 in Georgia United States of America. She is known for her roles in Never Say Never Again, Batman and The Natural.

Early Career

Popular Hollywood actress Kim Basinger started her career as a fashion model and appeared in hundreds of TV ads and magazine ciovers during the decade of 1970s. In 1976, she appeared ina  guest role in Charlie’s Angels followed by another role in The Six Million Dollar Man. In 1979, she landed a role in the remake of From Here to Eternity and made her presence felt, across the film circles.

In 1983 she was cast in Never Say Never Again opposite Sean Connery, the film gained critical acclaim and she won Golden Globe nomination. Following a award nominated movie, Kim Basinger earned leading roles in movies titled The Natural co-starring Robert Redford and 9 ½ Weeks co-starring Mickey Rourke. In 1997, she returned to movies after a break iof 7 years and appeared in L.A. Confidential. She won a number of awards and nominations for her role.

Career Highlights

Kim Basinger won her first ever nomination for Golden Globe Award for  her role in The Natural. In 1989 she won Saturn Award nomination for the movie Batman. The biggest breakthrough in her career came in the 1997 movie titled L.A Confidentail, which won her Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Awards for best supporting actress category. She also received BAFTA award nomination for the same movie.
